Who we are
Our church building is located at 316 N. Lexington Ave., one block West of Burlington on the corner of Lexington and 4th.
Some people at HBBC like to get dressed up. Some like to come in a tee shirt and jeans. Please wear whatever you're comfortable in.
Our worship service begins at 10:45am and usually ends by noon. We also offer Bible classes for all ages at 9:30am.
Parking is available in the gravel lot South of the building. On Sundays, those attending HBBC have permission to use the "Blondies" customer only parking spots in this lot. Street parking is also available on Lexington Ave. and both 3rd and 4th streets.
What to expect
Our family worship service consists of singing, prayer, Scripture reading and a Bible message from one of our pastors. We also periodically share in the Lord’s Supper together (usually on the first Sunday of the month) during this time. Other meaningful faith events such as baptisms, child-dedications and missions updates also take place during family worship as appropriate.
What about kids?
We love kids. We have kid-focused Bible classes for all ages every Sunday at 9:30am. We also have a great AWANA program on Wednesday nights during the school year. Find out more on the Children's Ministry FaceBook page. Our main worship service is a family experience. We think it’s more important for kids to experience church with their families than for the service to be still and silent. We provide nursery and children's church for younger kids but you're also welcome to keep your kids with you throughout the service. We want HBBC to be a place where you and your kids feel at home.
Children three and under are welcome in the nursery (on the North end of the basement) and kids aged three to six are invited to join Children's Church in the basement during the sermon time. Quiet activity bags, and kids notes sheets are available in the rear of the sanctuary for children remaining in the service. Parents are also welcome to take kids into the Youth Room (West end of the top level) where they can watch the sermon live in a less restrictive environment.
