Dr. David H. Wick served five Baptist churches - in Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, and the Twin Cities - over his 45 years in the North American Baptist Conference. Since, in 2015 he has served under the auspices of Interim Pastor Ministries as interim at First Baptist of Spencer, IA , Kerkhoven Evangelical Free Church in Kerkhoven, MN; Mountain View Baptist Church in Spearfish, SD; Neighborhood City Church (EFCA) in La Crosse, WI; and Garner Evangelical Free Church in Garner, IA.
He has degrees from the University of Minnesota (B.A., 1967); Sioux Falls Seminary
(M.Div., 1970); and Bethel Seminary (D.Min. 1999). He and his wife Patricia have one
son, Jesse, and three grandchildren. Jesse and his wife Nicole live in Spring Hill, TN.
David and Pat make their permanent home in West St. Paul, MN. His Devotional Guides to the Psalms, completed as a result of 45 years of preaching on the Psalms, may be found at devotionalguidetothepsalms.wordpress.com. His hobbies include reading and collecting the works of American humorists, cycling, playing guitar, and
following local high school sports.

Sonny Birnie began serving as the Youth Pastor in March of 2012. He also works as a contractor installing communications hardware. Sonny has been involved in different youth ministries in the area since 2008. He has a degree in progress the Eternity Bible College's on line program to help him be better equipped to serve the Lord. Sonny is passionate about seeing youth walk with the Lord and building a good foundation in the Word of God. He is married to his wife Kristen and they have 3 children. They had a daughter Jordyn, who came into this world resting. Praise be to God, she is in Heaven already! The Lord has blessed them with a son, Josiah and daughter Taylor.

Renee and her husband Tony started attending Hastings Berean Bible Church with their five kids back in 2004. Renee joined the staff as our administrative assistant in March of 2020. Renee and Tony value spending time in God's Word. They also enjoy bike riding, walks, thrift shopping, and spending time with their church family and their biological family. They are looking forward to the upcoming birth of their 12th grandchild.

Audrey and her family have attended Berean Bible since the beginning of 1999. Throughout the two decades plus, Audrey has served in a variety of capacities, most recently Children's Ministry Coordinator. Audrey and her husband Keith have home educated their family for the past 26 years. Audrey enjoys baking, sewing, reading, traveling, and especially being with family members and friends. Her four adult children, their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and the three daughters still at home, are true blessings from the Lord. Audrey says, "Hastings Berean has been a wonderful church family where I have grown leaps and bounds in my faith. Whether through individual friendships, the Bible studies or the sermons, I have been so thankful for this place and its people."

Lee and his wife, Linda, have three married children and 11 grandchildren. Lee is a lifetime farmer near Fairfield, NE, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and sports. His passions include missions ministry, both foreign and local, and hospitality outreach.
Joél and his wife Anita have been part of HBBC since moving to Blue Hill in 2010. They both grew up attending a church in the Berean Fellowship of Churches and they greatly value insightful Bible Teaching, an emphasis on missions, and opportunities to serve in the church. The Ruybalids have three adult children and greatly enjoy being involved in fellowship with everyone who makes up this church family.
Bill and his wife, Jan lived in Norfolk, Nebraska for 32 years. Bill taught Geography and coached in the public schools. We were very involved in our church in youth work, small groups and world wide outreach . After retiring we moved to China in 2010 and taught English in a Chinese university. In 2017 we returned to Hastings Nebraska to help care for our parents. Bill and Jan love playing games and hospitality. We have been involved in HBBC since Fall of 2017.
Daniel Buller and his family began attending Hastings Berean after moving to Hastings in 2016. Daniel, his wife Kimberly, and their 4 children- Benjamin, Sophia, Emma, and Noah have grown to love the fellowship of believers and the sound preaching of Gods word at HBBC. The Buller’s love the outdoors and visits to the mountains of Wyoming.
Bob and his wife, Barb, have attended Berean for over 20 years. They have been blessed with four adult, married children and 10 grandchildren. The solid Biblical teaching at Berean and the fellowship with the people who attend our church make the Berean Bible Church a place where one can grow in the Lord and in unity with fellow believers.
Larry and his wife, Katheryn have attended Berean since 1992, with Larry serving as a deacon for most of those years. They have been blessed with 3 sons, their spouses and 14 grandchildren, who also attend Berean. Larry considers it a blessing to serve a congregation of people he views as a part of his extended family.
Dale and Kellie have attended HBBC for 20 plus years. Dale has served as a deacon for a number of those. He enjoys Mission trips serving in disaster relief and construction. Kellie has been actively involved in children and women ministries. They have 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
They were drawn to Berean for its solid Biblical teaching and fellowship of the church family.
We are Rick and Jessica Erlandson. We have been married for three years, and we have one daughter named Lucille. Together we have been attending the Berean Bible Church for 4 years, we love serving on the world wide out reach committee as well as volunteering for Youth for Christ.
