Tevin started as the Senior Pastor in December 2023. He and his wife Lexi have been married for 8 years and came to us from Mesa, Arizona. It's just a bit colder here! They are blessed with three daughters: Aurora, Violet, and Rose and one son: Quinton.
Before his call to HBBC Tevin served the church in areas like youth ministry, worship ministry, and young adult ministry to name a few. He got his bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Arizona Christian University in 2015 and his Master of Divinity from Grand Canyon University in 2019. He says that the more he learns the more he wants to learn and hopes to go back for his doctorate as well.
Tevin has a heart for the church and seeing it grow deeper in discipleship and wider in reaching out to the community. He says his goal is to follow Jesus and make Him known to everyone he meets.

Sonny Birnie began serving as the Youth Pastor in March of 2012. He also works as a contractor installing communications hardware. Sonny has been involved in different youth ministries in the area since 2008. He has a degree in progress the Eternity Bible College's on line program to help him be better equipped to serve the Lord. Sonny is passionate about seeing youth walk with the Lord and building a good foundation in the Word of God. He is married to his wife Kristen and they have 3 children. They had a daughter Jordyn, who came into this world resting. Praise be to God, she is in Heaven already! The Lord has blessed them with a son, Josiah and daughter Taylor.

Lee and his wife, Linda, have three married children and 11 grandchildren. Lee is a lifetime farmer near Fairfield, NE, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and sports. His passions include missions ministry, both foreign and local, and hospitality outreach.

Bill and his wife, Jan lived in Norfolk, Nebraska for 32 years. Bill taught Geography and coached in the public schools. We were very involved in our church in youth work, small groups and world wide outreach . After retiring we moved to China in 2010 and taught English in a Chinese university. In 2017 we returned to Hastings Nebraska to help care for our parents. Bill and Jan love playing games and hospitality. We have been involved in HBBC since Fall of 2017.

Daniel Buller and his family began attending Hastings Berean after moving to Hastings in 2016. Daniel, his wife Kimberly, and their 4 children- Benjamin, Sophia, Emma, and Noah have grown to love the fellowship of believers and the sound preaching of Gods word at HBBC. The Buller’s love the outdoors and visits to the mountains of Wyoming.

Bob and his wife, Barb, have attended Berean for over 20 years. They have been blessed with four adult, married children and 10 grandchildren. The solid Biblical teaching at Berean and the fellowship with the people who attend our church make the Berean Bible Church a place where one can grow in the Lord and in unity with fellow believers.

Larry and his wife, Katheryn have attended Berean since 1992, with Larry serving as a deacon for most of those years. They have been blessed with 3 sons, their spouses and 14 grandchildren, who also attend Berean. Larry considers it a blessing to serve a congregation of people he views as a part of his extended family.

Jim has been married to Linda for 44 years and they have 4 living children and 4 grandchildren. He is retired from law enforcement and fire service and is a business owner who also currently works for Crossroads in maintenance. International mission work is close to his heart, and he has been on short term mission trips to El Salvador, Honduras, Nigeria and Japan.
